A Good Replacement
When our dog died, my little sister was inconsolable. She and Spot were inseparable. It has already been a week since we buried our pet and she is still not smiling. The whole family has started to worry and we talked among ourselves about what to do.
We agreed that getting a new dog this soon may not be a good idea. Mom’s officemate shared that when their dog died, they bought a parrot instead which cheered up her son. So dad came home last night carrying a round bird cage with a talkative parrot inside. At last, we saw my sister smile for the first time in days. I am hopeful that things would go back to normal soon.
