Owning a pet like a cat can be expensive and tiring. A website estimates that on the average, it takes $400 to care for each cat annually. This is just a minimum; the cost still goes higher with special health needs. Owners also need to provide them a stimulating environment by playing with them. Otherwise cats can bored and unhappy, and can get sick or destructive.

But all that is put behind with the joy that cats bring. There is pleasure in simply seeing it slipping through the cat door and knowing that it is there. Cats are good companions.
