When your lovable pet dog suddenly starts scratching all day, something might be up. Continuous scratching and licking could be a sign of dog skin problems. Just like humans, dogs tend to scratch their itch. As a pet owner, you might want to check your dog for ticks, wounds and skin irritations. I would also suggest you bring him to vet as soon as possible, especially if you have other dogs in the house.

Just like humans, dogs can also suffer from eczema. I myself have has to deal with this every now and then. But keeping in mind that dogs have longer coats and have totally different from humans, their dog skin problem may not be as easy to treat as ours. The thicker the coat, the harder it may be to diagnose the problem. Immediate attention and medication should be given. The earlier they are treated, the better to prevent possible infection and complications.
