retractable dog leash

The best time to train your dog with a leash is when he is a puppy. Start him with a leash of light material. Let him wear it a few minutes at a time gradually increasing the time as he gets used to it. You can just let him roam around with his leash on. This way he will be comfortable wearing a leash when you bring him out to walk with you.

A practical thing to have is a retractable dog leash. It allows the dog freedom to walk around with the owner still controlling him. The retractable leash gives a handler the authority to control his pet wherever they go. A word of caution though, never put a dog on a retractable leash if he is known to have problems with aggression or pulling. It will not be safe to use a retractable dog leash on an agitated or hard to control dog.
