Dog crates

Dogs naturally like to stay in safe spaces big enough to accommodate them. This is why dog trainers often use dog crates when housetraining dogs. Dog crates help dogs establish a routine. It lets you set boundaries inside your home for your dog. Also, should you need to travel with your dog the crate can still give them a sense of safeness and security.

Here are some tips on how to make your dog want to stay in his crate:1. Encourage your dog to stay in his crate by leaving small treats or toys inside.2. Do not use the crate as a tool for punishment.3. Keep the dog crate in a fairly secluded area in your home4. Start early. If you start training your dog to stay in a crate while he’s still a puppy, he’ll get used to quicker and earlier.
