Dog obedience

Dogs are not born domesticated and housebroken. They have to be trained to obey and heed their master’s voice. Dog obedience is a very tricky business. You have to be able to make your dog obey you without suppressing their nature. You have to be able to make them understand that you’re the boss without making them afraid or wary of you.

Dogs respond to consistent and firm training. You can’t say no one minute and then yes the next. That just confuses them. Dog treats can be used as rewards whenever they behave well or obey a particular difficult command. An obedient dog is as much a blessing to the owner as it is to their trainers.
