Checklist of Canine Competition Obedience Equipment
Maximizing the potential of our dogs is a challenging but can be very self-fulfilling. Their ability to follow certain pre-defined set of tasks is indicative of how effective you are as a trainer. This can be possible with the help of canine competition obedience equipment. These are typically lightweight for easy transport but sturdy enough to withstand rigorous training activities.
These are the common canine competition obedience equipment that are usually arranged in an order or manner that is unknown to dog owners:
- Jumps – dog should be able to clear the jump without knocking off the bar
- A-frames – ramps that dogs should run over
- Dog walk – instead of A shape this consists of and incline, flat and a decline walkway
- Seesaw – when the dog walks on one side, the other side drops
- Tunnels – stand alone and covered
- Chutes – just like tunnels but do not stand alone and one side is open
- Weave poles – made of 6 to 12 poles and vary in length
