dog treats

Dogs, like humans, need to be fed nutritious foods. Even dog treats should be chosen well to ensure that they don’t contain harmful ingredients that may make your dog ill. Read the labels carefully and learn how to identify ingredients that may pose health hazards. Dogs have smaller organs thus it may take time to eliminate wastes and toxins.

Dog treats come in various forms and sizes to cater to dogs’ different needs:

~Chewy treats are good for obese or older dogs with slower metabolisms because these satisfy without adding a lot to the daily caloric intake. The treats last for a long time and clean dogs’ teeth too.
~Bully sticks are great for puppies that are teething
~Small, bite-sized treat are ideal for dogs that need to have calories kept in check
