Horse bits

Controlling the animals is always challenging. This is the reason why several items like leash for dogs or bits are being used to serve this purpose. Horse bits are commonly made from stainless steel because they are very strong, easy and cheap to produce. It is available in various sizes although it is a standard rule that it should be ΒΌ “longer than the size of markings taken when a soft strand of yarn was ran horizontally across the horse’ mouth, over the tongue and behind his ear.

The style of horse bits determines where the pressure is placed. It can be brought to the roof of the mouth, chin, lips, tongue or groove. Snaffle bits are like starter bits that are soft. Gag and curb bits on the other hand are the harshest and can be very severe. A horse that’s frequently ridden should use this type.
