All pets need to exercise but some pets need it more than others. Dogs will need more exercise than cats. A dog, especially a big dog, will need a regular exercise regimen. He has to be walked daily. It is a way of replication his inherent habit of hunting for prey. Taking it away from him will not only affect his health but his emotions and instincts as well. Cats, however, do not need as much exercise. Playing with him with a feather teaser for 5 to 10 minutes will keep him happy and healthy.

Dog owners should therefore invest in a pet exercise pen for their pets. It will be useful when the weather is bad or when the owner does not have the time to walk him. Exercise pens can be set up in a covered space or outdoors. They may be made of wire, screen or soft material. Most will be easy to set up and equally easy to fold for storage when not needed.
